Folkwoods festival: respect for the elders

We had a very nice time at Folkwoods Festival this last weekend. Our show went down very well, with CDs sold out, two encores and all; and also, we had the privilege of hearing many fine musicians from all over. Among them I particularly enjoyed the Tannahill Weavers; the folk revival generation is very endearing in its simple, down-to-earth approach to music. Young people can't play like that, they are too ego-driven. And great harmony singing and playing! But then, I always had a soft spot for Scottish music. Lady Jessica admired their amazing piper (young and handsome, too!).
