The Shine

One of the best things for me about this album is that all of our sounds seem to have a special kind of shine. They are perfectly clear, yet warm. And this is with no EQ on, no effects (except, of course, for my beloved delays) How do Peter and Andrea do it? I prefer to think it's some kind of magic, the spirit of the ancestors reveling themselves in transistors, valves and analog-to-digital converters. This is my homeland after all, paranoid and utopian Emilia where anything can happen. Well, and then it helps that Peter understands his audio. :-)

Good news today: Transglobal Underground's Hamid is to feature on our album. We shared bills with Hami, Tim and their fellow TGUers several times this summer, first in Amsterdam and later in Canada, and each time we were impressed by the force with which thjey deliver amawing live performances. Me, I was already a big fan, I had seen them live several times before even meeting them. His flight has been booked: I cannot wait to hear his drumming on Non di sola andata and possibly some other song.

saluti, Michele
