Wise guys show up late

Here's a good tip for making a record: always show up late on the first day. Your producer and the engineers have to hack their way through the studio: which Pro Tools release, which plug-ins work and which don't installers, signal routing blah blah blah. So I show up at 6 p.m. with my best smile and a box of chocolates, and no one's done anything yet except fuss with the computers.

We do need more of a tech culture, as Lady J knows :-)
